Monoprinting is creating a single original print on paper or fiber. You will be instructed how to get 2 unique prints from one composition. Once you start, you won’t want to stop! We will practice first on simple papers before final printings on quality paper and some silk and cotton fiber. We will use a variety of fresh, in season botanicals, incorporating other unconventional materials for layered multi effects and to create texture. A printing (Gelli) plate, brayer, paint, fresh botanicals, paper & fiber will be used for you to create one of a kind prints. You will come away with many designs that can be instant art to hang on your wall, card making- mixed media or one of a kind fiber art projects. Please bring: an apron, paper towels or clean rags AND Wet Wipes (not disinfecting). Bring a drink and/or snack. 12 to 4 pm. $30 members, $40 nonmembers. $10 supply fee payable to Stella at the class. Class limit is 8. Class will be held in Oatland Island Science Room.
