Margo Duke will help you to create a small nuno felted bag. Learn about nuno felting, the art of creating fabric by meshing wool into a gauzy fabric, in this case silk, creating a small bag. You will be able to see how much wool shrinks during the process and how the silk gains texture, while creating your own design! You will learn a resist technique to prevent the wool from felting through all the layers. Margo will show you how to add a lining at home. Please bring several small towels and a dishpan. This is a full day workshop so bring lunch and a beverage. This workshop will take place in the Science Room at Oatland. $10 material fee payable to Margo at class, but you may bring some roving and silk fiber if you wish. Members $60, Nonmembers $80.
