Have you seen the Boho beads on Pinterest or Facebook? These cuties can be used for earrings, jewelry, buttons, fasteners and lots more. In this class, you will learn to design, roll silk ribbon, and twist decorated wire. Boho beads are made from many types of fabric, but ours are silk with a great selection of beads. There is plenty of time during class to make at least 4 beads. Students will go home with directions for construction.
The cost of materials to be paid to instructor Shirley Rowe on the day of class is $10 and includes: your choice of beads, silk ribbon, wire, and earring or clip findings.
Shirley Rowe has been teaching fiber arts since the 80s. Her grandma taught her to sew on a treadle sewing machine when she was a child. Shirley weaves beautiful tapestry and likes to tell stories through slow stitching. When she is not working with fiber she is creating jewelry. When asked “What’ s new?” Shirley says “making jewelry and getting back into my weaving.”
