Taste of Intro weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom

from $80.00

This class is for all who have an interest in the use of a rigid heddle loom.

Rigid heddle looms are perfect for new weavers as well as seasoned

weavers wishing to simplify the weaving process and experiment in hand

manipulated weave structures. Rigid Heddle looms are inexpensive and

portable. They are often the first choice for those wishing to learn to weave.

This Taste of class is offered over a 2-day weekend. During the Saturday

half day class, students will learn about selecting yarn, setting up a warp

and dressing the loom. Sunday’s class will include basic weave structure

with plenty of time to experiment with different techniques. Students will be

able to complete enough fabric to make a small tote bag or a short scarf by

the completion of the class.
