You know the basics of weaving, now… how do you plan a project. Janet will cover the fundamentals including: choosing a project, kit vs design, reading a draft, changing a draft written for floor loom to a direct tie down or table loom., adjusting a found weave structure pattern to fit your project, yarn choice for warp and weft, sources or patterns and yarn, math for warp and weft length, sampling, and more!
JANET started twisting fibers together at a very early age! She graduated from Design school majoring in pattern drafting and dressmaking where she began weaving fabric for clothing and textiles. Now retired, Janet has a studio behind her house where she spends happy hours daily experimenting with natural dyes and weaving on her growing family of looms.
